Purpose of Position: Provide facilities support to all League properties and associated assets in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds maintenance and other miscellaneous facilities support.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily work orders as assigned.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of work environment.
- Assist with maintaining the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and environmental systems.
- Care for grounds including snow removal, mowing grass, and maintenance of landscaping.
- Perform carpentry projects, painting, and repairing interior and exterior of buildings.
- Assist League staff with event set-up, hanging signage, and moving equipment and furniture.
- Maintain all League equipment used for the grounds and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and safety for use.
- Coordinate and Schedule Community Service worker tasks as needed
- Monitor Receiving Garage and Restock Shelving
- Monitor and Restock Supply Closets
- Perform emergency maintenance as required.
- Complete other duties as assigned

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
Performs work primarily in a shelter environment and outdoor setting. Potentially prolonged periods of standing, movement, and repetitive motion. May work in an area with high noise level. Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches. Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs. with reasonable accommodation. May require after hours response for emergencies or snowstorms (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Work outside in extreme weather, both heat and cold. Exposure to chemicals and other general maintenance hazards.
Schedule: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $20.80 – $24.00 per hour (starting pay commensurate with market, experience, and equity)

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Work Experience: One year of experience in general maintenance of multiple facilities including basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, and grounds maintenance
- Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
