We all  know about it, we’ve talked about it, and many of us have experienced it, but just how prevalent is it? What can we do to help alleviate it in ourselves and in others? While tough, this is an important topic to discuss in our respective fields. So let’s chat about compassion fatigue and work together to answer the aforementioned questions.

From obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-veterinary science from Wake Forest University to working in education, to getting my professional sciences master’s degree in Zoo, Aquarium, and Animal Shelter Management (CSU), I have found that I  have three great passions in life: 1) being the voice for those without; 2) working to bridge gaps in communication; and 3) working collaboratively to achieve these goals.
