Attendees will learn how to confidently recognize signs of epilepsy and render care to epileptic dogs, including the different types of seizures an epileptic dog can have, what to monitor and expect post-seizure, personnel safety when dealing with a seizing animal, housing needs for epileptic canines, what to look for during morning and post-meal check-ins, and when to see a vet.
Caitlyn Murphy
Caitlyn Murphy is a registered veterinary technician working and residing on the Western Slope. She has 12 years experience in emergency medicine which she still moonlights at while also being the veterinary services manager at Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Her passion is animal welfare and sharing as well as gaining knowledge to ensure best practices are made for our animal companions. She has three rescue mutts of her own as well as a band of misfit cats and two children.
