Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly

Our Veterinary Technicians (Credentialed/Registered/Provisional) provide clinical and administrative support for the Veterinary Services Department.  Schedules are full time (40 hours per week) and include weekend shifts. Schedules are subject to change according to business need.  Shift hours can range from 7am to 8pm.  Emergency hours may be implemented during emergency situations. Overtime will be required as needed. Holidays, evenings and weekend work required as needed. Flexibility is preferred.  Duties include assisting with the surgical program including induction and intubation of surgery patients; monitory of patients from induction through recovery; performing dental prophy and radiographs; preparing and interpreting basic diagnostic tests; performing euthanasia as assigned; supervising and assisting with basic training of veterinary students, veterinary technician students and department volunteers and more.   Requirements and qualifications include direct animal care and handling experience; 21 years of age or older for insurance purposes; proficiency with intubation, IV catheter placement and IV injection techniques; strong verbal and written communication skills; proven emotional intelligence, integrity and work ethic skills; and more.

NOTE: Certification/Registration with the State of Colorado is a requirement for this job. If you are a non-credentialed candidate and are in the process of becoming credentialed, you may apply and continue working towards registration. Expected hiring rate is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour commensurate with experience and certification.  Closes when filled.
