Looking for your next growth opportunity in Animal Welfare leadership? Reporting to our Shelter Manager, our Shelter Supervisors oversee our Client Services and Animal Care departments. The team positions co-supervise four (4) staff members directly and approximately twenty (20) Staff members indirectly. These are working supervisor positions and include performing the duties of direct reports as needed. Ensures appropriate Training and development of applicable staff and volunteers. Assists with annual budgeting and compliance with all Federal, State and local animal care and sheltering Requirements (PACFA, DEA, OSHA). Actively participates in Shelter and supervisory meetings and serves as a backup to the Shelter Manager. Responsible for the Operation of the Shelter store including inventory and ordering. The schedule for the position is five (5) days per week including one weekend day with Evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and subject to change in accordance with business need. Working relationships include the Behavior and Foster, Veterinary Services, Animal Protection and Control, and the Supervisor and Manager teams. Requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent applicable professional work experience. One (1) full year of direct staff supervision, or two (2) full years of volunteer supervision, including hiring, scheduling, managing and evaluating performance.
One (1) full year of working with the public in a customer/client focused position. Must have proven emotional intelligence, work ethic and integrity skills.

Expected hiring range is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour commensurate with applicable experience and education.
