Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Exempt Salary

Reporting to the CEO, our Director of Finance is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the finance function of NOCO Humane by following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  The position is open due to the incumbent’s upcoming relocation plans.  The Director works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior staff to help guide the financial operation and development of the Organization to ensure healthy and responsible fiscal activities within the context of NOCO Humane mission and goals.  This includes working with members of the management team to prepare and monitor the annual budget, conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports, developing and implementing an effective system of accounting, managing the payroll system and function, and working with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.  The Director also manages the operation of the Licensing group including the Accounting Coordinator/Licensing Supervisor and 3.5 line staff.  Serves a member of the Organization’s Senior Management Staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.  A combination of education and experience may be considered.  MBA and/or CPA a plus.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing finance/accounting function in a comparable size organization or larger.  Applicable non-profit experience preferred.  Minimum of 2 years staff supervision required and experience managing both supervisory and line staff a plus.  Prior audit and payroll management required as is experience with accounting software.  Experience with Paycom a plus.  Experience with Financial Edge desired.   Excellent computer and strong Excel skills required.  Bilingual English/Spanish, written and spoken, is a plus and includes a wage premium.  Please include resume with salary requirements and availability.  View the full job description for all requirements and additional information.

Expected hiring range is $90k to $110k commensurate with applicable education, experience and certifications.  Relocation assistance is available.  Closes July 31, 2024 or when filled.
