Purpose: AWAC is committed to providing a variety of professional development opportunities to those who serve in the animal welfare and animal control agencies throughout the state. A cutting-edge conference is offered annually each fall and other training opportunities are offered throughout the year.


Save the date! The 2022 Colorado Animal Welfare Conference will be held at Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs, Sept. 21-23, 2022!

Module A of Credentialed Animal Control and Cruelty Investigations Training. This will be held at El Paso County Emergency Services, 4755 Mark Dabling Blvd. Colorado Springs.

June 15-17, 2022 - Spring Conference for Animal Welfare Advancement, Chicago

Topics include fundraising, management and governance, resilient and thriving workforces, shelter medicine and public health.
