Shelter Operations

Want to increase adoptions and inspire community participation? Day foster programs can supercharge adoptions and create longer term fosters. Whether your shelter doesn’t have a program or wants to expand an existing one, this workshop is applicable.

Teller County Regional Animal Shelter’s program has been a trailblazer in sheltering. We’ll show you what they did and their results. We’ll walk you through the basics for starting a program, including free resources to utilize and scaling a program for any size shelter.

Attendees will come out of the training inspired and with the tools they need to get started.

Shelter Operations

As our lives move more online, it’s becoming harder for shelters to get their content noticed. Stymied by constant algorithm changes and new channels? Let’s talk about innovative strategies for creating social media content that is eye catching AND effective. From incorporating storytelling to giving your frontline staff the microphone, we will show you how to get the public’s eye and keep it. Adoptions, social media fundraisers, crisis communications, we will go over it all and look at great examples of social media from shelters around the country that gets results.
