Recertification

State Certification remains valid for two years from the date an individual successfully passes the examination. To renew after two years, State Certified officers must provide documentation on department letterhead confirming the completion of twenty (20) hours of continuing education in the field of Animal Control/Welfare within the prior two years. Online coursework is acceptable.

Please include a supervisor’s letter along with a training record listing the course titles and hours completed during the last two years. Do not send certificates.
