Animal Protection Sergeant

Denver Animal Protection (DAP) has an opening for an Animal Protection Field Supervisor (Environmental Public Health Program Supervisor). This is our Animal Protection Sergeant position. This person will supervise the Animal Protection Officers, provide subject matter expertise in investigations and enforcement actions, oversee scheduling, discipline, and review of criminal summonses issued by team members. Provides training, mentors new and current employees, conducts regular 1-on-1 meetings with staff, acts as a liaison between DAP and the city attorneys, community partners, and stakeholders. Animal Protection Officers serve to protect the health and safety of people from animals, animals from people who wish them harm, and to help foster the human-animal bond.
