Summit County Animal Control & Shelter is looking for TWO Shelter Technicians to join our team!
This is a hands-on job for someone who doesn’t mind getting dirty, working hard, thinking on their feet, and giving animals their best chance at a better life.
$24.00–$26.40/hour (DOQ)
Full-time | 40 hours/week

What you’ll do:
Care for, feed & medicate animals
Clean & maintain animal areas
Assist with behavior assessments & training
Help animals find their forever homes
Work with an awesome team of staff & volunteers
Provide great customer service
We’re looking for someone who:
Has animal handling experience
Communicates well & works well with others
Can routinely lift 75 lbs.
Has basic computer/MS Office skills
Has a valid Colorado driver’s license
Can pass a background check
Brings compassion, a positive attitude & a willingness to jump in wherever needed
Important: Shelter work includes all aspects of animal care, including euthanasia and cremation services.
