We’re looking for an Animal Behavior Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Evans, CO. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to use your knowledge of animal behavior, enrichment, and handling to positively impact the well-being of animals every single day.

Expected hiring rate is $21.50 per hour. Closes August 30th, 2025, or when filled.

NOCO Humane is an independent nonprofit working to further the compassionate, safe, and responsible relationship between animals and people.

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate animals for adoption, foster, transfer, medical care, or euthanasia
  • Recommend outcomes and enrichment plans for shelter animals
  • Provide animal handling and behavior training to staff and volunteers
  • Help maintain a positive, enriched environment for all animals in our care
  • Support public behavior education and consultations
  • Learns and performs euthanasia and serves as a member of the euthanasia team

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience working with animals (shelter or animal welfare environment preferred)
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Associate degree or higher in animal science, biology, veterinary tech, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of animal body language, enrichment strategies, and humane handling
  • Calm, compassionate, and decisive under pressure
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills
