AWAC hosts the annual Colorado Animal Welfare Conference to offer animal welfare professionals opportunities to learn the latest techniques, see the newest equipment, and enhance their career paths. Any registrations after the late registration deadline will be an additional $50.
Refunds for the conference are possible by Aug. 12, 2025, however a $25 processing fee will be charged.

Scholarships Are Available

Scholarships are available for the 2025 Colorado Animal Welfare Conference in Lakewood. To apply, fill out the form below. You will be asked to submit a brief description of how a scholarship will benefit you and your organization.

Thanks to a generous grant from the National Animal Care and Control Association, AWAC can provide scholarships for 2025. These will cover the cost of conference registration fees only. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for securing their own lodging.

Applications are due by Friday, July 11, 2025 and recipients will be notified by Monday, July 21.

Testing will be held at 3:15 p.m., Aug. 21.
Purchase this only if you are currently employed as an ACO/management/welfare investigator in Colorado and have at least six months' experience in animal control/humane work, including employment as an ACO/humane officer or animal welfare investigator. You must have completed 30 hours of formal training in animal control related topics within the past two years.
