1:30-3:15 pm - August 26, 2024
Westminster Ballroom I and II
Shelter Operations
During this session, we will discuss the impact that behavior modification medications such as trazodone have on the successful outcome of adopted animals. We will discuss behavior modification drugs commonly used in animal shelters to relieve stress and anxiety and look at the effects that these drugs have on the animals’ adoptability as well as the potential for return to shelter post adoption. We will look closely at data collection from the Denver Animal Shelter to support this discussion.
