The Opportunity: Registered Veterinary Technician

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV) is seeking a full-time registered veterinary technician for its recently renovated veterinary hospital. Our full-service veterinary practice provides quality and compassionate medical services to shelter animals and pets with guardians. Revenue generated by the veterinary hospital directly supports the mission of the Humane Society of Boulder Valley by funding health care for shelter animals. Veterinary technicians assist and support our fear-free certified veterinarians with all aspects of the treatment and care of animal patients. Technicians also play a critical role in educating clients on proper animal care while promoting and supporting the services offered at HSBV.

You are an excellent candidate for this role if you are a RVT or have proof of your provisional registration. We will also consider applicants who have exceptional veterinary assisting skills or whose registration/certification may have lapsed. Perhaps you were considered a veterinary technician before recent legislation required you to be registered to have the title of technician. We want you to apply, too! Applicants with part-time availability may also be considered.

We encourage you to apply if you have experience that is transferable within the field of veterinary medicine, even if it’s not a perfect match. We encourage applications from members of underrepresented groups including but not limited to women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, people with disabilities, and veterans. Spanish/English-speaking individuals are encouraged to apply.
