The Opportunity: Foster and Transfer Coordinator
The Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV) is seeking Foster and Transfer Coordinator to lead the animal shelter’s foster and transfer programs. Working collaboratively with the animal shelter teams, the veterinary team, animal transfer partners, and volunteers, the coordinator facilitates the movement of animals into and out of the shelter environment. HSBV is an open-admissions animal shelter and accepts every dog or cat in need. As a result, we receive many animals that are too young, injured or under-socialized to be placed directly in the adoption program. The coordinator collaborates with a variety of key contributors and program participants including volunteers, employees, and animal transfer partners to ensure some of the most vulnerable animals in our care have the best opportunity to thrive.
The Foster and Transfer Coordinator position is considered full-time, non-seasonal, is paid hourly, and scheduled 40 hours per week. The coordinator is supervised by the Behavior and Health Manager. Scheduling can be flexible and includes the option for a hybrid work arrangement. Some evening and weekend hours may be required to meet the needs of the foster and transfer programs. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, November 19, 2024, or until the position is filled.
