Animal Care Supervisors at NOCO Humane are responsible for the daily care of animals in the Shelter (including cats, dogs, small mammals, exotic pets and barnyard animals).  This is full-time working supervisor position located at our Evans, CO location.  Incumbents train and supervise approximately eight to ten Animal Care Technicians, Caretakers and Assistants in animal care and feeding, animal facility cleaning, disease control and safety protocols and more.  There is a significant amount of animal interaction and handling required.  Must have supervisory skills and solid emotional intelligence, work ethics and integrity skills.  Participates in Shelter Team, Shelter Supervisor and Supervisor/Manager meetings and is actively engaged in setting schedules, reviewing workflow and suggesting and implementing improvements.  Supervises assigned volunteers including community service volunteers.  The position includes pet end of life tasks.  Education and experience requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience, one year of proven staff supervisory experience or NOCO Humane lead experience showing initiative, leadership and professionalism.  Minimum one year hands-on work experience in animal welfare, animal care, animal health or applicable industry required.  Regular work schedules are five days a week, including one weekend day in support of operating hours.  Overtime and holiday work will be required as needed.  Must be able to work a flexible and changing schedule and model expected behavior.  Review the full job description and include start date availability, days and times of work availability, and pay requirements in a cover letter.

Expected hiring range is $18.75 to $19.00 per hour.   Closes when filled.
