Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Exempt Salary
We’re seeking experienced animal welfare management candidates looking to build their careers! Reporting to our Associate Director of Operations, our Shelter Managers are responsible for the daily operations of the Animal Shelters including client services, animal care, and behavior and enrichment. The position manages two (2) or more supervisor-level staff members directly and more than twenty (20) staff members indirectly. Ensures appropriate training and development for department staff and applicable volunteers. Responsible for development of annual plans and budgets and monitoring expenditures. These are key management positions responsible for the smooth operation of the Shelters. Requirements include degree or equivalent applicable professional work experience; 2 years previous supervisory experience in an animal shelter or similar animal welfare organization; 2 years of staff management of 6 or more people; multi-department management including management of department supervisors; planning and budgeting and more. Previous experience with Chameleon or other animal shelter software is a plus as is euthanasia experience. Bilingual English/Spanish reading, writing, speaking and understanding a plus and includes a wage premium. Expected hiring range is $60K to $70K commensurate with experience and education. Relocation assistance may be available. Closes November 30th, 2024, or when filled.
