Take the next leadership step in your animal welfare career! Due to the Organization’s expansion we are seeking qualified applicants for a second Associate Director of Operations position. This position supports the Director of Operations and provides expertise in shelter operations, applicable multi-team training and management, animal population management, domestic animal behavior, customer service, animal care and animal evaluation for our Loveland, CO campus. Also responsible for applying the tenets of socially conscious sheltering and capacity for care at all facilities. This position serves on the leadership team and will be expected to help advance the Organization’s mission, goals and objectives. This position manages 2 or more management level staff members directly and more than 30 staff members indirectly. Our Associate Directors of Operations serve as backup to one another. Requirements include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable professional work experience and a minimum of four (4) years animal shelter, or similar sized animal welfare organization, experience at applicable senior supervisor or manager level. Three (3) years of multi-department and staff management required. Proven experience in hiring, training and evaluating line and supervisory level staff. Experience leading multi-department planning and budgeting required. Direct and applicable animal handling and customer service experience. Experience with Chameleon software, or other animal shelter software. Multi-facility organization experience a plus. Euthanasia experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish reading, writing, speaking and understanding a plus and includes a wage premium. Expected hiring range is $80k to $86k commensurate with applicable experience and education. Relocation assistance available. Closes November 30th, 2024, or when filled.
